News from EAFA | Spring 2025 newsletter

News Newsletters

Our Spring 2025 newsletter is out now.

Read the newsletter to discover new ways to watch archive film including current scheduled events and more!

In this newsletter we’ll keep you posted about what’s happening ‘behind the scenes’ at the East Anglian Film Archive, including a welcome visit from Anglia Television’s Good Morning Britain Presenter Emily Knight to film for ‘ITV at 70’.  You’ll discover the myth and fancy of the historical pageant film, a staple of any regional film archive, having recently acquired three pageant films adding to our archive’s vast collections.   And as our region prepares to commemorate 80 years since VE Day we invite you to watch footage of the celebrations that took place to mark the end of World War Two in Europe.

We’d also like to remind you that Mashup, our competition for younger filmmakers is still open for entries … although the deadline is swiftly approaching.

And finally, we’d ask you to consider supporting our work and help us achieve our purpose of preserving and sharing our region’s film heritage to a wider audience.

As always you can stay informed by bookmarking and checking our News and Events page throughout the year.

Sign up to receive the e-newsletter direct to your inbox.

You’ll find out about our recent projects, as well as our forthcoming events and opportunities. We look forward to sharing the latest news from EAFA with you on a quarterly basis. You can unsubscribe at any time.
