Three news items showing the rollercoaster being painted, behind the scenes at a local cinema and Southend traffic.

A dizzy occupation shows painters at work on the roller coaster. There are several long shots of the large wooden structure and close-up shots of the painters. Behind the scenes shows the projection staff at the Civic News Theatre in Southend preparing for a show. This includes putting on a record, lacing the projectors, dimming the house lights and rewinding the film. Getting a move on shows a street scene in Southend. This includes some trick photography showing the traffic moving backwards. There is a policeman directing traffic, which includes trams and trolley buses.
