Saxa Salt: Pick a Pack of Saxa

1950s

Cinema advertisement for Saxa Salt.

This short cinema advertisement for Saxa Salt opens on a neat row of large boxes featuring the brand's distinctive orange, white and red label. A woman's hand selects one of the boxes from the row, as text implores housewives to 'Pick a Pack of Saxa'. The woman pierces a hole in the box, tipping it on its side to reveal 'free running salt', before a shot of the box appears with a small salt pot - 'for table' - followed by a saucepan - 'or cooking'.
