Newsletters

Our Winter 2025 newsletter is out now.

Read the newsletter to discover new ways to watch archive film including current scheduled events and more!

In this edition we reflect on the film archive’s achievements of 2024 as well as share with you our exciting plans for 2025… and beyond!

Last year was a busy time for the team at EAFA as we worked on our National Archives Accreditation application.  In November we were very pleased to be awarded Archive Services Accreditation for a second time. Looking forward, 2025 is going to be an equally busy and momentous year as our team continue with preparations to commemorate 50 years of EAFA in 2026. We look forward to sharing more about our exciting celebratory plans in forthcoming e-newsletters.

In the meantime, you can find information about our regular programme of in-person and online screenings, including an Artists’ Film Screening in April and a Movie Memories reminiscence session hosted and organised by our neighbours Norfolk Record Office.   You can stay informed about this and future screenings and events by bookmarking and checking our News and Events page throughout the year.

If you are a regular visitor to the Archive Centre you will already have noticed our standalone Replay station that’s found it’s home alongside our Kalee Film Projector.  In this edition of the e-newsletter, you can find out more about BFI Replay and the bespoke station that offers the opportunity to explore your regional and UK screen history in depth and at leisure.

We’d also like to remind you that Mashup, our competition for younger filmmakers is currently open for entries.

And finally, we reveal your ‘most watched‘ film on the EAFA website for 2024 which is by woman filmmaker Joyce Allingham.
