In an interview for local television news, Alf Ramsey, manager of Ipswich Town F.C. assesses his team's chances in a forthcoming match against Tottenham Hotspur.
Alf Ramsey stands on the terraces of Portman Road, home of Ipswich Town Football club. The reporteer asks him if the team is at full strength for their match against Spurs. Ramsey affirms that they are, apart from the fact that Roy Bailey has a cold. The reporter wants to know if Ramsey's past experience as a player at Spurs will affect his tactics. Ramsey believes that Spurs are just as strong as they were when he played for them, and that the team poses a real threat. He points out that they score lots of goals and have a number of international players. Ramsey states that the pitch is in excellent condition despite the recent wet weather, and believes that both teams will play an excellent match.

Background Information
Alf Ramsey ended his playing career at Tottenham Hotspur and became Ipswich Town manager in 1955. He lead the Portman Road side to the Division Two Championship in 1960 and in an incredible feat took them onto to become the First Division Champions a year later. He became manager of the England national side in 1963 and led them to the winning of the World Cup in 1966. He was knighted for his services to football in 1967 and became Sir Alf Ramsey. In 1977 he became the first knight ever to manage a football club, when he had a short spell as manager of Birmingham City. He remains as England's most successful manager to date.
