A collection of production footage and outtakes focusing on farming implements from an episode of Anglia Television's Farming Diary.

Dick Joice chats at length with a farmer, both are leaning on a fence. Ploughing through the ages is demonstrated by a series of illustrations. A section on sowing follows featuring men sowing a field by hand, followed by demonstrations of mechanised seed drills. The harvest is then illustrated with images of animal and steam-driven harvesting tools and demonstrations of early motorised harvesters, the collection and stacking of hay, the use of steam-driven threshers and modern combine harvesters. Sugar beet is harvested both by hand and by tractor-driven harvesters. Illustrations of potato farming implements are followed by more footage of Dick Joice talking to the farmer.
