Begins with girls modelling Woolworth’s clothes around various outdoor locations in Norwich. The first girl wears a bright orange dress, with the camera panning over the outfit and zooming in on her sunglasses and shoes. Another girl models a checked skirt and yellow top outside Norwich City Hall, with a view of the Guildhall in the background. Another girl walks down the street wearing a bikini with a towel wrapped around her. She then lies down on a bench. The next girl wears a long dress and is shown walking down the steps, followed by a girl wearing a long red striped dress posing in a garden. A girl in a yellow dress feeds ducks by the river followed by other models wearing various outfits. Girls model different dresses by the Castle. Camera pans over the interior of Woolworth’s store, with close ups of the products they sell and customers browsing. Reporter Vic Birtles interviews Woolworth’s manager about the stores move into fashion. They discuss the age range Woolworth’s fashion will cater for and how quality will come before cheapness.
