Anglia TV news item; footage showing an enormous Christmas cracker that has been made in Scunthorpe in support of a charity.
A woman stands with two men posing for the camera. One of the men hands the woman a cheque and she holds it up to show the camera. Behind them is a huge Christmas Cracker that shows on it the Co-Op company logo. The enormous Christmas cracker measures 20 foot 8 inches long by 3 foot and 3 inches wide. A number of council workmen attempt to lift up the cracker onto their shoulders and carry it along. A sign on the cracker reads “Presented by the staff of the cleansing department”. A number of council workers have gathered to pose for the camera. The men continue with carrying along the cumbersome cracker.
