Crowds file past the Jolly Maltsters pub in Norwich as fans arrive at the Carrow Road stadium for an F.A. Cup fourth round match between Norwich City and Ipswich Town. Highlights from the game feature early attacks by Ipswich, before Derrick Lythgoe crosses from the wing to Terry Allcock, who heads the ball past the Ipswich goalkeeper and sends the home fans wild. Ipswich are quick to reply, almost scoring in a goalmouth scramble before Jimmy Leadbetter finally gets the equaliser. Despite late attacks from Ipswich, however, the match ends 1-1 with a replay to be held at Ipswich's Portman Road stadium.

Background Information

Ipswich had required three games to beat Luton Town to progress the fourth round of the 1961-2 FA Cup (1-1, 1-1, 5-1), whilst Norwich had beaten Wrexham 3-1. After this match ended 1-1, Norwich won the replay at Portman Road 2-1, before losing 3-1 away to Sheffield United in the fifth round.
