‘Ban the Bomb’ protesters march through the Essex village of Wethersfield. Led by Canon Collins of St Pauls Cathedral, the demonstrators march, heading for London’s Trafalgar Square. The protesters – many belonging to a trade union group, university, town or district from across the country - carry banners displaying anti-nuclear slogans, and the iconic CND symbol for peace. A handful of protesters are shown amongst their belongings inside the school hall where the marchers stayed overnight.
