Anglia Television report on the influence made by American evangelist Billy Graham in Norwich.

Footage of a Billy Graham Crusade held at Earls Court in London, with the preacher addressing a full audience. Michael Robson narrates over scenes of a coach arriving at the ABC Cinema where closed circuit television footage of a Billy Graham Crusade is being relayed nightly to a cinema audience. People get off the bus and a crowd of people enter the cinema. Michael Robson questions whether it is Billy Graham’s ‘personality or message’ that influences people to follow the movement. Intercut by footage of Billy Graham preaching at a Crusade, Robson interviews in turn, factory worker Mr Paul Dyke, and Kings Lynn student Richard Heathcote, who had both converted after watching Billy Graham. Mr Dyke describes his first impressions of the famous preacher, his feelings about the church and his personal experience of his faith before and after witnessing Graham’s Gospel preaching. Richard Heathcote, previously a follower, has now rejected the church. He contemplates the reason for his initial response to the movement and his reasons for converting, before explaining why he has decided this form of religion is not for him after all. At the Billy Graham Crusade at Earls Court, members of the congregation leave their seats and come forward to convert.
