Anglia Television presenter Gerry Harrison reports from Carrow Road on the club’s history, management and cup successes following Norwich City’s promotion to the First Division of the Football League. Manager Ron Saunders leads a training session with Norwich City players at the Trowse training ground. Gerry Harrison interviews Ron Saunders, speaking about his initial days as Manager for the club. Footage of each of the players in turn, during which sports reporter Harrison provides the particulars of each, including of goalkeeper Kevin Keelan, Clive Payne, Terry Anderson, Ken Foggo, Peter Sylvester, Graham Paddon, Doug Livermore, David Cross, Phil Hubbard, Jim Bone, and Dave Stringer. Dave Stringer speaks about the appointment of Ron Saunders as Manager, and the effect it had on the team, training schedule, and re-shuffling of player positioning. Stringer discusses the team’s current success. Ron Saunders speaks about the training methods and team tactics he employed in his early days as manager and the tough standards he goes by in dealing with the players. Saunders also discusses particular players, including Bobby Bell and Duncan Forbes. Duncan Forbes talks about his injury and his individual style and tactics on the pitch. Ron Saunders comments on the club’s regrettable period of poor performance, and the individual contributions by players Doug Livermore and Graham Paddon to the team. Doug Livermore reflects on the team’s past performance, and comments on the atmosphere on the pitch and support from the crowd during a match. Jim Bone speaks about this initial employment by the club, and argues the crowds at matches should be more supportive of their team. Ron Saunders speaks about the many superstitions he has. Duncan Forbes continues about the accolade of playing in the Football League’s First Division, and finally, Ron Saunders declares his enjoyment for managing the team.
