[Morgans Of Norwich Commemorative Pale Ale]

1977 , Norwich (Norfolk)

Anglia Television news report from a King Street brewery about the production of a Queen's Silver Jubilee commemorative beer.

In 1935 Morgans of Norwich produced a pale ale to commemorate the silver jubilee of King George V. In 1977, the same brewery is producing a second pale ale to commemorate the silver jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. The Marketing Director of the brewery explains the new beer will be launched soon, however it will be unlikely to reach the Queen for tasting. Brief footage inside the brewery follows, with bottles of the ale moving along a conveyor belt. Inside a bar, people enjoy a pint of ale, and several of the male drinkers are interviewed about the quality, taste, and potential popularity of the new beer.
