Anglia Television news interviews with farmers and the auctioneer at Fornham Sheep Salesground.

Farmers arrive and unload their livestock into pens at the outdoor Sheep Saleground at Fornham, then later an auctioneer starts the bidding process on a flock of Shearling Ewes as customers look at the stock. The auctioneer moves along to the next pen and the whole process starts again. Dick Joice interviews Mr Dour, a sheep dealer for most of his life, for almost 70 years. Mr Dour remembers the breeds of sheep that he used to see at the Salesground, and argues the breeds are now getting cross-bred too often, making the livestock smaller. Dick Joice interviews George Holmes, a shepherd from Shropham in Norfolk, about his experience of coming to the Saleground over the years, and asks if he is sad at selling his flock. Dick Joice interviews the auctioneer, asking about the history of sheep in East Anglia, about the preparations that are made for the sheep auction, asking where the sheep come from, and speaking about who the typical customers are.
