Ruth Henstead dishes up a meal, with close ups of the vegetables cooking on the pan. She then sets the table and puts the dishes in the middle of the table. Close up of the steaming dish. She walks out of the kitchen towards the dining room while a cat follows her. She sets the dish onto the table. Reporter Judy Finnigan comments that it looks appetising but it’s certainly not turkey. She then interviews Ruth Henstead about the vegetarian Christmas meal that she prepares every year. Ruth explains that it is a dish they call Mock Goose and that they reserve it for Christmas dinner. It is a sage and onion stuffing with a paste on the top, which she says tastes as good as turkey. She says that it isn’t a typical vegetarian dish as her mother handed the recipe down to her. She talks about the other food they have at Christmas and how she’s never eaten turkey as she was brought up as vegetarian. Her children enjoy the tradition of Mock Goose. Close up of the food on the table. Ruth is shown working in the kitchen.
