Northamptonshire players Peter Willey and David Steele will play for England cricket team against the West Indies.

Scenes filmed at the Northamptonshire cricket ground where the mood is relaxed as players practise and children gather around the players. In a silent sequence, Peter Willey practises batting. In an interview, he is congratulated on being selected for the England team, and in his characteristic restrained style says he is over the moon and it is a great honour. He attributes his best season so far to good wickets. Next, a silent sequence of David Steele batting. In an interview, he says he is happy to be the opening batsman the following day. Asked about his tendency to hook the ball, he says he has got himself some higher shoes to get above the ball a bit more. He is asked about the attacking play of West Indies team, and the England disaster in the previous Test match which he says was the ideal wicket for the West Indies. Asked about the lack of England pace bowlers, he jokes about the West Indies team lending some players. Peter Willey loads his gear into a car boot and signs autographs, then David Steele gets in and drives away.
