Ipswich Town football players interviewed while celebrating after their win against Saint-Étienne.
Ipswich Town football players in a noisy changing room drink from bottles and recover after the match they won against Saint-Étienne on 4 March 1981. Someone calls for shampoo. Anglia Television sports reporter Gerry Harrison first interviews player John Wark. Another player is seen with an injury around his eye. Interview with Dutch footballer Johnny Rep of the Saint-Étienne team who is complimentary about Ipswich teamwork. Fans crowd around the door of the team coach. On the coach, the Ipswich players, now wearing suits and ties, wave as the coach moves off. At a bar, player Terry Butcher drinks from a bottle and says that after such a great result they will enjoy a few drinks and celebrate into the early hours of the morning. Player Mick Mills says he is keeping his feet on the ground to show people the team has a long way to go. Terry Butcher again on their remarkable away win. Mick Mills says that they will enjoy tomorrow’s newspapers and TV, but by Friday the media will have moved on to anticipation of their match against Nottingham Forest.
