Anglia TV sports news; interviews with Luton Town FC Manager David Pleat, and football players Brian Stein, Kirk Stephens, Ricky Hill, and Brian Horton.

David Pleat, manager of Luton Town Football Club, writes on a pitch drawn on a blackboard and talks to the players in the dressing room. Commentator Gerry Harrison says that it has been a do-it-yourself success for Pleat and the players. Close ups of the players in the dressing room. Harrison says that they’ve built their own style and created their own stars. It is a club that has always attracted talent but it is often unfulfilled. He talks about footballer Joe Payne who never played in First Division with Luton despite scoring 10 goals in one game which is still a football league record. The team at Milton Keynes shopping centre give football demonstrations to the crowd. They are selling football by playing with children in the shopping centre and getting them into the sport. Harrison reports that no team is more active in promoting football than Luton. Close ups of Luton players Brian Stein and Kirk Stephens. Brian Stein is interviewed and says that he had always wanted to be a professional footballer. When asked, Kirk Stephens agrees with Stein. Shot of Ricky Hill playing a match. Harrison says that despite his skill, Hill still isn’t a professional footballer because of an ankle injury. Interview with Ricky Hill where he describes how his ankle injury has set him back. Brian Horton is then interviewed. He says that he has enjoyed the way Luton have done things this season. Lil Fucchillo is then interviewed and says he believes that it’s better for players to be bought in. Back to Brian Stein and Kirk Stephens. Stephens says that it is his dream to beat Coventry in the First Division. Stein says that for him it’s Manchester United. Pleat talks to the players in the changing room. Players are then shown in the shopping centre kicking the ball to each other while crowds gather round watching.
