General views from the stands of long, deep trenches on the surface of the football pitch. A man gets into a hole to demonstrate its depth - it comes up to his waist. Broken goalposts and other objects are shown. A trio walk along the trench, examining it. One of them picks up a section of broken pipe and turns to show the other two. Television film accompanying a news story that the club are not playing due to debts, but don't want a newly formed football club to use their pitch.
