Homeless ex-soldier arranges his temporary home.
A homeless man, John Witt, has moved into a disused bus shelter in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. Exterior view of the shelter which has WAITING ROOM in stonework above the entrance and expanding metal barriers at the entrance. Inside, there are wooden benches and graffiti on the walls. Mr Witt sweeps the floor and lays down foam pads as a bed. Various bags and boxes hold his possessions. He was an army gunner for 14 years and is in his 50s. He moved into the shelter three weeks ago and Fenland District Council and the Police have asked him to move on. Interviewed briefly, John Witt says he was previously staying in disused farm buildings and this shelter is drier. Anglia TV reporter Greg Barnes points out that District Council workers have recently repaired cracks in the back wall of the shelter. This short video was made to be shown in a news story on Anglia Television early evening news / magazine programme About Anglia.
