Short video of a protest to bring the campaign against nuclear weapons to national attention.

Brief scenes of a group of protesters from the Snowball campaign sitting in the road and holding placards, surrounded by police officers and press photographers. A protester is led away by police and large bolt cutters are used. No commentary, just actuality sound. This video was filmed to be shown in a news story on Anglia Television early evening news / magazine programme 'About Anglia'.

Additional Description

The Snowball Campaign against nuclear weapons was founded by Angie Zelter of East Runton, Norfolk. Over an initial period of two years, 2,000 people had cut fences at 37 air bases, and 60 had served prison sentences including Monsignor Bruce Kent. The campaign ran for three years with around 2,500 arrests.
