Short video of a protest stunt to bring the proposed Elstow nuclear waste dump to national attention.
Brief scenes of a group of protesters standing at intervals along Waterloo Bridge holding a banner which is blowing in the wind. Scenes on the bridge followed by side view of bridge with the white banner in place reading “Merry Christmas No Nuclear Dumping”. This was one of many local and national protests after Nirex suggested Elstow in Bedfordshire as one of the sites to be investigated as a possible location for burial of nuclear waste. No commentary, just actuality sound. This short video was made to be shown in a news story on Anglia Television early evening news / magazine programme About Anglia.
