Nirex went to the High Court to enable their access for test drilling at Elstow site.

Banners and posters at the scene of the Elstow, Bedfordshire protest declare the continuing resistance by Bedfordshire Against Nuclear Dumping (BAND). Women and children are gathered around the entrance to the disputed site. Interview with Mieke Hinchcliffe-Wood of BAND who says it is an achievement by the women and children that Nirex have been forced to go to the High Court after four weeks of protest which has delayed the proposed tests on the site. What happens next will depend on the terms of the injunction, whether the protesters will be required to move to a different location, or continue harassment of Nirex by other means, even if protesters end up in gaol.
