Local health education specifically about AIDS.
Interview filmed to accompany a news story that an AIDS counselling service is being established in Colchester following a public meeting. Les Latner of the Terrence Higgins Trust is interviewed by Anglia TV reporter Marcus Powell. Les Latner says he is not aware of any cases of AIDS or AIDS-related disease in the Colchester / Chelmsford area, but it is good practice to take precautions by having a group ready when somebody needs help. The reporter mentions the huge public reaction concerning AIDS, perhaps amounting to hysteria. He asks if there is a danger of causing anxiety. Les replies that a local counselling group should not arouse anxiety so long as there is a good local health education programme. This video was made to be shown in a news story on Anglia Television early evening news / magazine programme About Anglia. The news story was transmitted on 25 September 1985.
