A brief glimpse of development work on military uniforms and kit.
Inside a large workshop, women work on camouflaged fabric at sewing machines. A range of uniforms for the RAF are displayed on mannequins. Reporter Rebecca Atherstone interviews Tony Moynehan, Director of the establishment. He mentions the new combat smock and trouser design in lighter-weight disruptively-patterned fabric, visually similar to the previous design and offering the same level of protection. Displays of the clothing, and of shelters ranging from a two-man tent for use in the Arctic to a large inflatable shelter designed for use in remote areas and to be carried on helicopters and aircraft. Further inflatables include decoys and targets in the shape of missiles and a tank for use in training. Further views of the clothing and kit on display. This video was made to be shown in a news story on Anglia Television early evening news / magazine programme About Anglia.
