Anglia Television presenter Christine Webber interviews London hair stylist Trevor Sorbie through a television screen link, with added scenes of Trevor's work. He will be visiting Norwich, Norfolk to hold a master class in hairstyling. Trevor is seen on a London street approaching his salon and cutting a client’s hair, interspersed with stills of salon models. He talks about setting goals for his career, the 'scrunch' technique for hair volume, and his work with people in the public eye including celebrities and fashion designers. Stills of Boy George with spiky hair and scenes of a catwalk show for fashion designer Zandra Rhodes. Christine Webber asks where Trevor finds his inspiration and how the avant garde fashions might relate to ordinary people and everyday life. This video was filmed to be shown in a news story on Anglia Television early evening news / magazine programme 'About Anglia'.

Trevor Sorbie (1949 – 2024) learnt hairdressing as an apprentice in his father's shop. In the 1970s he worked with the salons Vidal Sassoon, Toni & Guy and John Frieda before opening the first of his own salons in 1977. Four-time winner as British Hairdresser of the Year, he created the wedge haircut and was hair stylist for Torvill and Dean on tour. Eventually he spent much of his time working on provision of wigs and hairdressing services for people experiencing hair loss after treatment for cancer and other medical conditions.
