A party of disabled children enjoy a day out at Gorleston courtesy of King and Harper Ltd, Cambridge.

Coaches and cars are parked along the roadside by a public house, and their passengers - children, some with disabilities, and adults on a day out heading to Gorleston - enjoy a snack and drink, presumably as a break in their long journey. At Gorleston they all get off the coach. Some of the adults and children are in wheelchairs and some use wooden crutches. The group have a meal in a restaurant. On the beach the group play ball games and play-wrestle or are seated in deck chairs. One woman enthusiastically play-wrestles one man, pinning him down on the sand. Two boys wearing callipers take a stroll along the sand. There are shots of boats and tugs coming into the harbour. The group sit on benches on the pier. Later they return to the cars and coaches. The children are given assistance to get into the vehicles. Mrs. King, in a black coat and beret, checks the names off from a list. Drinks and boxes of souvenir confectionary are given to the children. A group of boys slug ginger beer from glass bottles.
