A home movie made by the busmen of the double decker buses. The speeded up film of their journey is used to humorously demonstrate how quickly you can get from Ipswich to Felixstowe by bus.

Title ‘It’s Quicker By Bus’ on a red background. Showing the bus journey speeded up, the camera shows the view from the front window of the double decker bus. It pans along the road in Ipswich and shows the traffic. It turns the corner and parks next to some other buses. A red double decker bus drives away from the camera and down the road. The camera shows the view from the front of the bus and films the road and traffic as it drives along. Interior shot of the bus. After getting on the bus, a woman sits down and the ticket conductor talks to her. Camera pans over the road from the front of the bus as it drives through Ipswich town centre. Shot of Ipswich bus station and red double deckers lined up. One of the buses drives out of the station. Close up of one of the ticket conductors getting out of the vehicle. The title ‘Procedure For Unpaid Fares’ is shown on a red background. A ticket conductor stands in the doorway of the bus and shakes his head at a man who is attempting to get on it. He grabs the man, pushes him up against the bus and punches him. The man falls to the floor and hands the ticket conductor money for the fare. Close up of the man lying on the floor followed by him limping away from the bus and shouting at the driver. The driver gets out of the bus and starts fighting with the man. Shot of Felixstowe beach. The man stands along the edge of the wall and jumps into the sea. The driver throws a lifebuoy into the sea. Shot of the double decker bus reversing along a country road with ‘The End’ written on the back windows of the bus.
