Post Early For Christmas

1943 , United Kingdom (Other)

A short information film urging people to post early for Christmas.

A man, played by Richard Massingham, sits in his armchair, wondering why he tied a knot in his handkerchief. There are shots of him fussing the cat and sitting back in his chair, still wondering. He goes to bed, still wondering why he tied the knot. He remembers and jumps out of bed. Sitting at his desk, he writes Christmas cards and wraps presents. The next morning, he leaves the house, still in his pyjamas, but remembers and rushes back to change. He runs across a field with his parcels. The final scene shows him at Christmas - alone.
