Village Hall Film Show
1980 , Sea Palling (Norfolk)
Cat no. 1337
A film show at Sea Palling's Village Hall.
The first shots of the film are taken in a suburban cul-de-sac of bungalows. A man loads the boot of a Ford Cortina Estate, possibly with the registration WEX 449 W. This would date the film c. 1980. There are shots of the road, taken from the moving car, as it enters Sea Palling. The car turns into the village hall and the boot is unloaded. There are interior shots of the hall showing the presenter setting up the projector and the hosts organising the refreshment table. Several of the audience buy cans of Coca-Cola as they enter and are wearing scarves supporting Manchester United. There are shots of the crowd, many of who are young, and scenes taken around the hall.
