The film begins with shots of young women on the telephone. One calls at the house of another and they consult a map. There is a close-up shot of this. There follows a shot of a steam train. Shots from the train show it leaving an urban environment. It passes a station and there are shots of the countryside. The train arrives at Saxmundham Station. There is a static shot of the station sign that reads: Saxmundham. Junction for Leiston, Thorpeness and Aldeburgh. People leave the train. There is a shot of the engine before it leaves the station.
