The women's fire brigade of Chamberlin's Department Store, Norwich.
The first shot shows a fire drill. Women are escaping from upstairs windows of Chamberlin's Department Store by rope.The second shot, also of a fire drill, shows the Ladies' Fire Brigade tackling a fire at a double fronted Georgian House. They have to pump water by hand. They then join in a circle and catch people in a blanket as they jump from upstairs windows. The final shots are of the brigade posed for the camera. They remove their helmets and smile and wave.

Background Information
The following intertitle appeared on the front of the film but was not recorded on this copy.: Employees of drapery store Norwich give practical demonstration of their abilities as fire fighters. The women were employees of Chamberlins. They were trained by the fire brigade.
