HM King George VI and HM Queen Elizabeth visit RAF Methwold.
The first reel of film begins with some muddled close up shots of aircraft. There are shots of aircraft on the ground of the grass airstrip. RAF men stand around in groups talking. There is a close up shot of one of the groups. (1 min 38 secs.) The second reel of film shows black cars arriving at the airfield. Buildings and tents are in the background. The King and Queen arrive with an official party and are greeted by officers. They inspect aeroplanes, the Queen alights from an aircraft, and meet some of the airmen. They review a line of airmen. (1 min 4 secs.) The third reel of film continues this review. The King and Queen shake hands and talk to some of the men. They enter and then leave a marquee and prepare to leave by car. (1 min 3 secs.) The fourth reel of film, shot from the opposite side to the third, shows the King and Queen leaving the Marquee. They meet WRAF's. They get into the car and drive away. There is a shot of the airmen lined up with the aircraft in the background. The camera pans the line. There are further shots around the airfield and the airmen disperse. (1 min 4 secs.)

This film shows unedited raw material. Mr. Wright was a professional cameraman. He must have been present in some official capacity to have been allowed so close to the King and Queen.
