Film promoting Felixstowe as a holiday resort.

The film begins with a long, high angle shot of the quiet promenade before shots of the far busier main street. There are sea front shots showing people standing and sitting as through waiting for a parade to pass. There is a brief shot of a band marching. There are shots of the beach, shooting back to the sea front. The film shows the attractions that Felixstowe has to offer as a resort. A girl rides a horse and a pony and trap works along the front. A long sequence shows various beach scenes, showing people on the beach and swimming in the sea. The shot of Felixstowe pier in the background shows that it is still unrepaired after World War II. There is a shot of paddle boats on the boating lake and of the children's yacht pond. A fisherman sorts and boxes his catch on the beach. The lawn tennis championships feature. A steamer is filmed from Felixstowe Ferry and a couple fish. A boat crosses to Harwich and large container ships are filmed in the port. There is a shot of the golf course and a sequence showing animals and a harvest sequence on a farm. The latter uses a steam powered threshing machine. A long sequence shows the gardens in Felixstowe and there are shots of exhibits at the Flower Show. A steam train leaves Felixstowe Station. The final shot is of the sunset.
