Scenes from the Cromer carnival, 1960.
The Carnival Queen and her attendants in West Park, Cromer, in front of the old Cromer Urban District Council offices. People in deck chairs. The Carnival Queen and her party take their seats on a platform and the Carnival Queen is crowned. People take photographs and there is a shot of the group. The last sequence shows scenes from the Carnival procession through the streets of Cromer. These may have been shot in poor weather as some are very dark. There are shots of the lifeboat float and of the band. People collect money in fancy dress, including one person as the Invisible Man. The 1st East Anglian Regiment feature in a float designed as a Viking longboat. The final scene shows the Carnival queen on a float passing the Albion Hotel with the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in the background.
