A busy day at the Colchester bus station.
This film shows shots of the buses, staff and passengers using the bus station in Colchester in 1964. It opens with a shot that shows a green bus waiting at a stop. There are shots of buses and of bus drivers, including some close up shots and of passengers. A driver changes the display on the front of the bus. Two conductors feature, one of who is female. Later there is a shot of another two conductors, one male, one female. In the drivers' canteen they drink tea. The next sequence shows a raised car park. This became unsafe at a later date and had to be demolished. There are further shots of the station and the staff, including staff leaving work on bicycles. A bus is filled with petrol and there are further scenes in the garage.
