Newsreel item filmed at Birds Eye, Great Yarmouth - the largest food freezing factory outside the United States in 1951.

Freshly gathered peas are taken to the Birds Eye factory for freezing. Less than four hours after picking, they are washed, graded and washed again in brine. The peas are picked over by women working at a conveyor belt. After the peas are put into boxes, the process of freezing is shown.
