Local newsreel of the visit of HRH Prince George, Duke of Kent to Wisbech on 2 June, 1932.
A large crowd is gathered in the market place for the visit of Prince George. School children predominate. The crowd sees the arrival of the Mayor of Wisbech and his party, who ascend the dais. A band strikes up and groups continue to arrive, including war veterans and nurses. The Mayor is shown seated. The Prince's car arrives and the Prince is seen making his way through the crowds. Easiphit shoe Shop, F.W. Woolworth's and R.J. Glass are visible in the background. The Prince is greeted by the Mayor and shakes hands with the local worthies before he signs the visitor's book. He inspects a guard of war veterans and then gets into his car.
