Local newsreel of British Legion veterans enjoying their fete and featuring a demonstration by members of the St. John Ambulance.
Royal British Legion veterans pose for the camera in their medals. There are dignitaries and spectators. Speeches are made to the crowd in the garden. The dignitaries are formally introduced to Legion members. Boy Scouts pose for the camera. There is a staged, first aid exercise to save a scout knocked over by a motorbike - St. John Ambulance men rush to help the casualty. There is a fancy dress competition, a beautiful baby competition and scenes of the crowd letting off balloons. Finally, a tennis match, a children's running race and an adults' race in fancy dress.
