Cat no. 967
A newsreel item showing domestic and working life around the small seaport of Wells-next-the Sea.
Scenes around the small coastal town of Wells next the Sea: houses, streets and a woman drawing water from the communal pump. A coaster arrives at the quay. Whelk boats return on the tide. The whelks are unloaded and cooked in the boiling houses. There is a close-up of one of the fishermen, then views of the beach showing a row of beach huts. Children play and row around in boats on Abraham's Bosom, a small lake behind the sand hills. Town allotments also feature, and a windmill.
