The enthronement of Dr. Launcelot Fleming as the new Bishop of Norwich, with HRH Princess Margaret in attendance.
Views of Norwich Cathedral: the procession of dignitaries, including the Mayor, passes along Cathedral Close. The Dean welcomes HRH Princess Margaret. Guests include the Lord Lieutenant of Norfolk and Suffolk, and the Mayors of King's Lynn, Thetford, Lowestoft and Yarmouth. The new Bishop, Dr Launcelot Fleming, knocks on the West door before being admitted. Inside, the Archbishop of Canterbury performs the ceremony and the new Bishop sits on his throne. Outside the Cathedral the new Bishop shakes hands with Princess Margaret while crowds watch.
