The new BBC TV studios in Norwich a week before opening. Edward Parkinson, News Editor Birmingham, explains how bulletins will be transmitted from Norwich over shots of the new studio being constructed, the foyer and the outside of the building in St. Catherine's Close. David Bryson, head of the Norwich unit, appears in the sound studio where radio programmes have been produced since 1956. There are shots of the TV scanner in the back garden. In the makeshift studio, Geoffrey Harvey, one of the first news readers, is asked by Edward Parkinson how rehearsals are going. There are shots of cameras and control equipment.
