Promotional film for the Norwich furniture makers, Norvayam.

Norvayam brand furniture is made at the North Heigham Cabinet Works Limited factory in Norwich. The whole process of making the furniture is shown: chopping down an oak, towing the trunk by tractor, marking the trunk 'Norvayam', receiving the wood into the yard, sawing the wood into sections. One of the sections is marked '1938 veneer oak'. Various workshop processes are shown in the manufacture of furniture, including grooving and sanding. There is a section on veneering, and some items nearing completion on show. A woman carpenter and other workers are seen in close-up. Finally a Norvayam delivery van leaves the works.
