Filmed by a Norwich photographic company, HM King Edward VII visits Norwich on 25th October 1909 to lay the foundation stone of the extension of the Norfolk and Norwich hospital.
Units of the Territorial Forces in Norfolk parade on the Mousehold Heath review ground. Lord and Lady Suffolk are watching. There are shots of Prince of Wales Road near Foundry Bridge, followed by the royal procession in Upper King Street. The crowd waves as the King's carriage passes. Brief views at the foot of Guildhall Hill and Orford Place. HM King Edward VII arrives for lunch at the Drill Hall, the HQ of the 4th battalion of the Norfolk Regiment in Chapel Field Road. The King's arrival and departure are filmed from the top of a tram. Finally, dignitaries and their families arrive at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital - excellent examples of Edwardians in their best clothes.

The following information is from David Cleveland's book 'Films Were Made' (David Cleveland 2009): "A cameraman from A.E. Coe and Son, photographers and opticians of London Street, Norwich covered the occasion and the film was shown the next day at the thatched Assembly Rooms, which stood on All Saints Green."
