The Cambridgeshire Handicap is about to take place on the new course at Newmarket: there are crowds, and horses parade in the paddock. The start of the race is delayed. At the finish, the famous Australian jockey, Scobie Breasley, is seen with his winning horse, `Fleeting Moment'.

Background Information

The following information is from www.napit.co.uk, Sports and Information News: The Cambridgeshire Handicap is a flat horse race for three-year-old and above thoroughbreds run over a straight distance of 1 mile 1 furlong (1,811 metres) at Newmarket's Rowley Mile course in late September / early October. It is a handicap race and was first run in 1839. The Cambridgeshie Handicap and the Cesarewitch, two weeks later, are together known as the Autumn Double.
