Street scenes of Leytonstone: a tram, a crowded bus and the Academy cinema showing "Double Wedding", starring William Powell and Myrna Loy. There are views of the Leytonstone War Memorial, vegetable and flower displays outside shops, the police station, pubs and other buildings. A closing sequence features a marching band, people at an outdoor concert, the Whipps Cross road sign, horse riders and the model boating lake near Whipp's Cross.
