A promotional film for all aspects of the region, covering conservation, development, commerce, leisure, education, housing and health.

Typical images of Norfolk, including a windmill, ploughing and the Broads. A series of maps and views of the town accompany a discussion of the transport network. The Borough's Conservation Officer explains the attractions of an area where 'development and conservation are hand in hand' and we see woods, a beach, Hunstanton, Massingham and Fakenham market. The region's housing is discussed and illustrated. Local women are interviewed in King's Lynn shopping centre. The main shopping area, the Tuesday Market and the High Street are featured. Brief views of Peterborough, Norwich and Cambridge. A discussion on local industry is illustrated by the working port of King's Lynn, the goods, the grain silos, the Fisher Fleet, Campbell's factory, Bespack, Frigoscandia, Beresford and Hicks, Berol, Masterfoods and factory shops at Jaeger and Caithness glass. Local facilities are reviewed starting with education: Wooton Junior School, King Edward School, Ashwicken First School and Norfolk College. Health facilities include the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the Gayton Road Healthcentre. A leisure sequence includes beaches and plans for future leisure complexes. Knight's Hill and Congham Hall follow, and the film ends with a sunset after a review of the area's attractions.
