A crowd are gathered in Christchurch Park. A girl present flowers to an honorary guest. Children are lifted up into a fire engine. A fixed shot shows a street in Ipswich along which the fete passes. A trolley bus passes the procession in contraflow. The fete is headed by motor cycles and by people riding horses. It features a fire engine, motor bike and side cars and decorated cars.
