A promotional film for Unwins the Builders features the making of window frames from raw timber to the finshed article.

Timber, unloaded at King's Lynn docks, arrives at the Histon yard. The planks, to be made in to window frames, are sawn to the correct length by circular saw. In the workshop, a rapid sawbench, sanding and smoothing machines, and spindle moulding are shown. Planing and surfacing are done by hand. The frames are fitted with sashes and then with glass. The finished bow windows are loaded onto a waiting lorry and taken away. A three-wheeler Unwins' van is described as "a light delivery and traveller's van," and loaded up. In a colour sequence, long planks are handled in the yard. A wooden shed is also constructed. The film concludes with the end of a working day, workers leaving the yard on foot and by bicycle.
