A local record of celebrations marking the 93rd anniversary of Colchester Co-Operative, founded in 1861.
A programme of events, crowds and children's races opens this record of Colchester Co-Operative's anniversary celebrations. The Newark Imperials carnival band march in the grand ring, followed by the crowning of the 'Co-Op Queen' by Mrs. Morris, the Mayoress. Judges select the winners of the children's fancy dress competition and there is a Punch and Judy show. A speech is given by W.T. Williams, MP. Numerous side-shows are depicted, with a final shot of a programme being blown along the ground.
